Baking for Refugee Community Kitchen

Baking for Refugee Community Kitchen

For one of this half term's topics, we have been baking for the charity Refugee Community Kitchen. Pupils learn about the reasons people may seek refuge in another country then bake batches of banana bread which we deliver to this local charity to include in their distributions of food. In our Outdoor Classroom, we also grow banana plants so that children can make the link from plot to plate. This year one of the plants is even producing a bunch of (small) bananas!
